Hey! I’m Chardá (pronounced shar-day)
I created this place for parents to learn from me all in one place. A lot of this content was birthed out of the most common questions I'm often asked by parents just like you. I love supporting families to help them make informed decisions and making it easy is my goal!
I'm an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Doula, Spinning Babies Certified Parent Educator in private practice (Melanin Milk SD) serving families in San Diego, CA and via Telehealth anywhere in the world! I also serve as the Executive Director for the non-profit, San Diego Breastfeeding Center Foundation.
When I'm not immersed in all things lactation, I volunteer my time to causes related to human milk, Black maternal child health & reproductive justice and aim to increase diversity in the lactation field through mentorship. I live with my partner Dr. Tré Watkins we are proud both natives of Southeast San Diego & share 5 children(blended family), with a baby on the way 2024!
